Jocelyn Burgener has a funky, creative streak that has motivated her work in politics and public affairs. Jocelyn has combined her interest in women’s issues with her effective communication skills and established Shoes Do It! to inspire and influence women to share their life’s journey by writing their favourite shoe story.

Jocelyn is one of Canada's foremost thought leaders in public policy. Ralph Klein, former premier of Alberta, joins many of her professional colleagues in acknowledging her as one of the most effective communicators he has ever worked with.

Jocelyn established Segue Consulting International Ltd. and is a sought-after facilitator of public policy development, and an advisor and board member in community and charitable organizations.

Jocelyn was elected to Alberta’s provincial legislature in 1993 and 1997 supporting the province’s tough fiscal agenda. Her strong advocacy for social issues resulted in the passage of her Protection Against Family Violence Act in 1999.

She has four adult children, enjoys writing poetry and golf.
